El impacto de las inyecciones

Las inyecciones de corticosteroides (CSI) son antiinflamatorios que pueden aliviar el dolor en pacientes con desgarros crónicos del manguito rotador, pero estos pueden tener efectos nocivos. Estudios recientes también identificaron un mayor riesgo de infección en el sitio quirúrgico y cirugía de revisión después de la reparación del manguito rotador cuando está precedido por un CSI dentro de 3-6 meses.
